International Canine Explosive Solutions, Inc. (ICES) is a small, female-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned company dedicated to excellence in certified explosive detection canines. The ICES foundation is based on over 60 years of law enforcement and explosive ordnance disposal in canine management, deployment, training and utilization.

The founder and president of ICES, is a certified Maryland State Police Officer, and has formerly acted for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) as a Mass Transit Rail Canine Coordinator. He is the former Director of Law Enforcement for the National Capital Region (NCR) for Washington, D.C.; and he also has been certified as a master canine trainer with the Department of Defense (DOD), United States Air Force (USAF), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) canine program, the TSA, and the National Explosive Detection Canine Team Program (NEDCTP). He is a certified Surface Transportation Security Inspector (STSI), as well as a Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) technician with the Department of Transportation (DOT).

He earned his certification as a master canine instructor and trainer while assigned to Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, where he served as a team chief in the patrol division, and an instructor supervisor for the Dog Training School (DTS). He was the course chief of the explosive, narcotic, and patrol dog training school. He has trained hundreds of explosive detection canines for the DOD and FAA, and he currently holds a Top Secret SBI level clearance. Although there is no national standard for explosive canines in today’s industry, ICES canines and handlers are trained to meet or exceed the current standard set by the TSA and DOD.
